Sometimes it is best to be dumb

Hai!!! Sorry for the loooooooooooooooong gap between the last post. I was kinda busy with college. So, here I am, refreshing my blog a lil bit with this post.  Until now, my college life is going smooth. I am totally loving computer science, man!!! It IS my MOST favourite subject throughout the whole CPU course.  Haha!!!
So, I was facebooking just now (as usual =.= ) and I found this hilarious story.  It has enlightened me and made me realise that sometimes it is best to be dumb.

Go! You are free!

When I was reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel, an interesting quote caught my eyes. The writer was talking about caging animals in zoos. According to him, the animals are happier in the zoo than the jungle because they have a safer home in the zoos. Then, he supported his point with these few lines:


If you went to a home, kicked down the front door, chased the people who lived there out into the street and said, “Go! You are free! Free as a bird! Go! Go!”–do you think they would shout and
dance for joy? They wouldn’t.


Funny right? But when seen from reality, it's kind of true also.  Animals are supposedly happier in zoos as they get food and water on time and they don't have to always watch their back for predators. What an interesting thought to ponder on? Until now, I was thinking that they are happier in the jungle as it is their natural habitat. But now, it has made me to think again.  Maybe the idea of locking animals up in the zoo isn't bad after all, as long as they are let to be free inside their "cages" and are not abused.
