The summer break was not too bad. I..
- learned how to swim (barely)
- burned my skin numerous times (it's still healing)
- tried various Malaysian food for the first time (notably nasi kandar and char koey teow)
- attended a summit for the first time and listened to many inspiring speeches
- learned a bit of cooking (still need to learn how to taste food for salt)
- shopped till I dropped (or at least till my mom dropped)
- met up with some old friends
- went for a picnic with friends for the first time (not gonna go back to the beaches in Penang for a while now that I'm traumatised by the pollution)
- joined a video competition with a friend (and I'm winning some prizes :D )
- drove till I got bored and started speeding, though not as fast as my friends (I'm trying to abide by the law for a few weeks now)
- bullied my sisters, though I'm still not satisfied
- watched a few movies in the theatre (though I didn't watch any new Tamil movies ever since I came back)
- watched less TV and more movies and anime either downloaded from Internet or online
- watched a bit of Olympics
- finished reading a novel (only), a few magazines and some other books
- blogged
- dreamt a lot (most of the dreams are so random, I started to wonder whether I'm still sane or not)
- played with money a few times while helping my dad and uncle in business (only 3 days, to be specific)
- didn't do any studying, or learnt anything useful such as programming
- went to Cameron Highlands and Malacca with family (although I've been there before, the trip was more memorable this time)
- went for waxing and threading for the first time (all I can say is that it's less painful than my usual headache)
- realised some stuff about myself, people and life
- reverted to being myself, by spending some (not so) quality time with my laptop and nothing else
I guess that's all. That looks like a pretty long list, but I wish I had done something more beneficial than that this summer. Now, I have to start packing to return to my beloved 'human slaughtering university' in Toronto. Hopefully I'll live through the second year and the years after that, if the world is not destroyed first like what Mayans had predicted.
